People 12 years or older with certain underlying health conditions are eligible for treatment. Monoclonal antibody treatment is a one-time infusion treatment that is offered at NYC Health + Hospitals in person centers for patients who have mild to moderate symptoms for 7 days or less. Oral antiviral therapeutics are pills that are taken for 5 days for patients who have mild to moderate symptoms for 5 days or less. When administered as soon as possible, these treatments can reduce the risk of hospitalization or death due to COVID-19.
